About Tarundeep Rai
Tarundeep Rai is a four-time Olympian and one of the longest-serving mainstays of the Indian archery team, known for a two-decade international career built on discipline, precision, and quiet resilience. Following engage4more's STRIVE framework for impactful keynotes, his sessions turn a rare depth of sporting longevity into structured lessons on focus and comeback mentality for corporate audiences. Born in Namchi, South Sikkim, Rai made his international debut at 19 at the 2003 Asian Archery Championships and went on to represent India at the Olympics from Athens through Paris 2024.
A serving officer in the Indian Army's Gorkha Regiment, he combines military discipline with elite sporting achievement — winning India's maiden individual archery silver at the 2010 Asian Games and a team recurve silver at the 2019 World Championships in 's-Hertogenbosch, a result that also secured India's full quota for the Tokyo Olympics. He delivers keynotes and fireside conversations, available in-person and virtually, on precision under pressure, never-say-die attitude, and balancing aggression with composure — themes drawn directly from competitive archery.
Through engage4more, which has coordinated 5,000+ corporate events across India, Rai has been booked for corporate leadership sessions, sports-themed offsites, and inspirational keynotes alike. His momentum has continued strongly into 2025–2026: after retiring from international competition in August 2024, he won bronze at the 38th National Games in February 2025 — a result the Sikkim Olympic Association called a testament to his dedication and perseverance — and has continued competing in India's inaugural Archery Premier League in 2025. In October 2023, ICFAI University Sikkim awarded him an honorary PhD for his contributions to the sport, and in 2025 Prime Minister Narendra Modi publicly recognized him among Sikkim's sporting icons on the state's 50th Statehood Day. He remains a recipient of the Arjuna Award (2005) and the Padma Shri (2020), India's fourth-highest civilian honor.
