About Gukesh D
Gukesh Dommaraju, known worldwide as Gukesh D, is an extraordinary Indian chess grandmaster whose meteoric rise has reshaped modern chess history. Born in 2006, Gukesh discovered chess at the age of seven, and what followed was a journey defined by discipline, quiet confidence, and astonishing talent. In 2024, at just 18 years old, he became the youngest World Chess Champion in history, making him one of India’s greatest sporting icons. His rapid ascent in sports continues to inspire millions, especially because he has consistently shown how far resilience, humility, and relentless practice can take a young dreamer. Gukesh became the youngest player ever to cross a FIDE rating of 2750 at 17, a milestone that cemented his position at the very top of world chess even before his championship win.
Gukesh’s 2024 season was monumental in every sense. At the 45th Chess Olympiad, he led the Indian team to a historic team gold while also winning individual gold on Board 1, becoming only the third Indian in history to do so. His world championship run was equally awe-inspiring, displaying exceptional preparation, tactical sharpness, and psychological maturity. In 2024, he was also named in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30, featured globally as one of the brightest minds in competitive sport, and invited to speak at major international platforms. In 2025, Gukesh continued his dominance by securing podium finishes in elite tournaments like the Tata Steel Masters, Norway Chess Rapid & Blitz, and the FIDE Grand Swiss cycle, strengthening his reputation as a generational talent who is here to stay.
Today, Gukesh is not just a world champion, he is the face of India’s new chess revolution. His story resonates deeply with students, young professionals, and dream-chasers who look up to him as proof that age is no barrier to excellence. With his calm demeanour, razor-sharp intellect, and inspiring work ethic, he motivates audiences to embrace discipline and believe in their highest potential. Booking Gukesh Das a motivational speaker for your next event brings audiences closer to a brilliant young mind whose journey reflects what dedication and passion can achieve at any age.
