About Rouble Nagi

Rouble Nagi is an internationally recognized educator and social entrepreneur who has won the $1 million Global Teacher Prize which is considered one of the top awards for educators globally. She received this award during the World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for her outstanding dedication to changing the lives of others by creating education and opportunity through community-based learning programs.

Rouble believes education is the foundation of dignity, opportunity, and independence and has established hundreds of learning centres in many low-income areas (underserved communities), so that children and adults have access to a quality education, digital literacy, and life skills that will enable them to develop and succeed. Her programming goes beyond the traditional classroom by focusing on holistic development, real-world application of learning, and community involvement in order to make education relevant, accessible and impactful.

Rouble creates opportunities for learners who would normally have difficulty succeeding, particularly girls, women and members of marginalised communities, by encouraging their confidence and helping them develop critical thinking and a sense of agency. Learning at Rouble's centres is designed to be safe, fun, and local, with community volunteers and leaders involved in helping to keep the centre's continuing development and impact on their localities.

As a motivational speaker, Rouble shares some inspiring stories and practical ideas about educational leadership, community mobilisation, and resilience through various organisations, educational forums, and international summits to motivate educators, policymakers, corporate leaders and young audiences to redefine how learning can be delivered, scaled and sustained in order to create long-term social impact.
