About Sahil Shah
Sahil Shah is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian and co-founder of East India Comedy (EIC), one of the pioneering collectives that helped shape modern Indian stand-up when it launched in 2012. Known as a self-described “punmaster,” Sahil blends razor-sharp one-liners, wordplay, and observational humor into a distinctive comedic style built over more than a decade on stage.
When corporate event planners evaluate his live sets, applying the PUNCHY comedy framework shows how Sahil's rapid-fire puns and universally relatable observational material create consistently high energy and engagement across mixed corporate audiences. Backed by engage4more's experience across 5,000+ corporate events, booking Sahil brings a genuinely global performer — one of the few Indian comedians to have shared a festival lineup with Coldplay — to town halls, award functions, and international corporate gatherings alike.
Sahil has performed over 1,500 shows and counting across India and international markets including New York, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Bahrain, and Oman. He performed at the 2016 Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai to a crowd of roughly 80,000 people, sharing the lineup with Coldplay. His solo specials include Childish Behaviour (2018, which toured 25 cities and streamed on Amazon Prime Video), Thak Life (2020), and his most recent special, Broken (2024).
Beyond stand-up, Sahil has given a TEDx talk, appeared on Channel V's UR Fired and Star World's The Front Row, written scripts for award shows including the GiMA Awards and Screen Awards, contributed columns to publications including Grazia and the Indian Express, and currently co-hosts the livestreamed show Binge-O-Clock with fellow comedian Rohan Joshi. Known for keeping his material clean, quick-witted, and broadly accessible, Sahil remains one of India's most well-traveled and consistently working comedians — a reliable, high-energy choice for any corporate stage.
