Mangesh Desai

Mangesh is India's only member of The Magic Circle, London, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious magic societies, founded in 1905 and still requiring a formal performance exam or thesis for membership. For organizers, that genuinely singular, independently verified credential is a strong signal of technical mastery, a distinction no other Indian performer in his category currently holds.

Mangesh has worked as a magic consultant and trainer for major Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan, teaching them illusion techniques for their films. For organizers, that kind of high-profile, industry-vetted expertise is a useful signal of credibility, a performer whose craft has already been trusted by some of India's biggest names, not just self-promoted through social media alone.

Beyond performing, Mangesh delivered a TEDxPanchgani talk on how understanding illusions can improve decision-making, giving his act genuine intellectual substance alongside the entertainment value. For organizers who want more than tricks, particularly for leadership offsites or motivational sessions, that TEDx-level content means his show can double as a thought-provoking talk rather than pure spectacle alone.

Mangesh's act blends magic, situational comedy, and motivational insight into a single booking, giving organizers three distinct entertainment elements without needing to hire separate performers for each. For planners who want a show that entertains, makes people laugh, and leaves a genuine takeaway, that three-in-one format is a practical, cost-efficient way to cover multiple event goals at once.

Mangesh has performed for more than 300 companies, including a recent showcase for Luthra & Luthra Law Offices India, giving him a genuinely proven, large-scale corporate track record. For organizers, that volume of corporate-specific bookings is a strong signal of reliability, an act that has been tested across many different room sizes, industries, and event formats already.

As an illusionist and mentalist rather than a traditional stand-up comedian, Mangesh offers organizers a genuinely rare category of entertainment on the corporate circuit, one most planners don't have readily available among their usual comedian options. For events that want to stand out from a typical stand-up lineup, that category difference alone is a meaningful differentiator worth considering.
