Rueben Kaduskar

Rueben's comedy credentials were tested on two separate national platforms: he reached the top 5 in Radio City's hunt for the next best stand-up comic and the top 10 on Amazon Prime Video's “Comicstaan.” For organizers, that kind of repeated, judged national recognition is a strong signal of quality, a comedian whose talent has been independently validated more than once.

Rueben's screen credits include Netflix's “Serious Men” and “Comedy Premium League,” giving him genuine on-camera experience beyond live stand-up performances alone. For organizers who want a comedian with recognizable screen presence, that film and streaming background adds a layer of credibility and familiarity that purely stage-based performers don't always bring to an event.

As founder of The Brown Bread Collective, which organizes and promotes more than 30 stand-up gigs a month in Mumbai, Rueben has genuine standing and leadership within the city's comedy industry beyond his own performing career. For organizers, that production-side credibility signals a comedian who understands how to build and run a show, not just perform in one.

Rueben has written for the respected comedy collective East India Comedy and worked extensively on writing projects with veteran comedian Atul Khatri, giving him real, established writing credentials beyond stand-up alone. For organizers, that writer's background is a useful signal of craft: his material benefits from real collaborative script development, not just solo open-mic instinct.

Rueben has built a genuinely distinctive comedic identity around self-deprecating, anecdotal humor and his signature “Raju the waiter” alter ego, giving his act a memorable, recognizable character beyond straightforward jokes. For organizers who want a performer with a clear comedic voice, that distinctiveness gives his set a talked-about quality that a purely generic routine often lacks.

Rueben has opened for well-known comedians including Biswa Kalyan Rath, Abhishek Upmanyu, Karunesh Talwar, and Ashish Shakya, giving him real, road-tested experience performing alongside some of India's most established names. For organizers, that opening-act track record is a practical signal of reliability, a comedian whose material has already been vetted by serious comedy programmers.
