About Prem Joshua & Band
Prem Joshua & Band is an internationally travelled fusion ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Prem Joshua, whose music brings Indian classical traditions into dialogue with jazz, electronica, world music and contemporary grooves. Prem Joshua plays sitar, flutes, soprano saxophone and vocals, and his long relationship with India includes training under masters such as sitar maestro Ustad Usman Khan. Across 18 albums and extensive touring, the project has developed a recognisable East-West sound designed for both attentive listening and rhythm-driven live performance.
The band's history includes appearances at Glastonbury Festival, The Big Chill, Kala Ghoda and other international stages, as well as private performances for prominent global audiences. Its official concert calendar shows continued activity in India: 2025 dates included the International Yog Festival in Rishikesh, Hill Top Goa, Pushkar and the LLDC Winter Festival in Bhuj.
