About Jayanthi Kumaresh and Kala Ramnath
Jayanthi Kumaresh is an Indian veena musician and comes from a family of musicians who has been practicing Carnatic music for 6 generations. A researcher, Jayanthi holds a doctorate for her work on "styles and playing techniques of the Saraswati veena" and conducts workshops and lecture demonstrations around the world. She composed and released “Mysterious Duality” which is a multi-dimensional reflection of the simple yet complex self - through a single instrument - The Saraswati Veena.
Kala Ramnath is an Indian classical violinist and belongs to a lineage of musicians. She represents the beginning of the seventh generation of violinists in her family. It has been said that her grandfather bribed her to practice by offering her sweets and candy.
Kala Ramnath's performances have graced renowned music festivals in India and esteemed stages worldwide, including the Sydney Opera House, London's Queen Elizabeth Hall, and New York's Carnegie Hall, among others.
With a global reach, she has cultivated musical partnerships with acclaimed artists across genres, seamlessly weaving elements of Western classical, jazz, Flamenco, and traditional African music into her compositions.
