Why Heart 2 Heart Orchestra?
The Heart to Heart Orchestra is one of the first full orchestras in the world composed entirely of musicians with developmental disabilities. Every concert is not just entertainment—it’s education. By performing in schools, government institutions, and public spaces, they challenge stereotypes and promote empathy and understanding of neurodiversity. Their mission isn’t just about performance—it's about coexistence between disabled and non-disabled people through cultural exchange. They actively foster inclusion through joint projects, youth outreach, and community engagement.
Members of the orchestra gain more than musical training: they gain confidence, independence, and a public voice. Many have pursued professional music careers, studied at top institutions, or become ambassadors for disability rights in South Korea and beyond. Backed by the Heart to Heart Foundation, their model is now inspiring similar efforts in other countries.
