What
The Wheelchair Building Challenge is a profound engagement format that bridges the gap between corporate skill-sets and social impact. Unlike standard team games, this is an Empathy-Driven Design exercise where teams are tasked with assembling professional-grade wheelchairs from high-quality components. The activity serves as a live simulation of Purpose Alignment, where the "product" being built has real-world consequences for an end-user. It requires teams to move beyond mere assembly into a state of "Social Accountability"—understanding that every bolt tightened and every alignment check performed directly impacts the safety and mobility of a physically challenged individual.
Our delivery expertise is rooted in established engagement methodologies. We utilize the MORE² Framework to identify and bridge communication gaps within your organizational structure. For teams looking to drive high-potential innovation, we integrate principles from our SPARKS Framework to focus on strategic alignment. To further elevate the impact of your event, we recommend anchoring the session with one of our expert Motivational Speakers.
The experience is a masterclass in Collaborative Precision. Teams must manage resource procurement, technical blueprints, and rigorous quality control audits. By stripping away artificial competition and replacing it with a shared humanitarian goal, the activity levels hierarchies and fosters a "One Team, One Cause" mindset. The final "Quality Handover" acts as a powerful emotional anchor, physically proving that when an organization aligns its talent with a higher purpose, the impact is both measurable and life-changing.

How
Guided by our "Technical Marshals," teams receive a kit of parts including the frame, wheels, braking systems, and seating upholstery. The expertise lies in Multi-Stage Scrutineering—where teams must pass three distinct safety audits during the assembly process to ensure the chair is 100% road-worthy. Participants engage in "Empathy Trials," navigating a short obstacle course in a completed chair to understand the user's perspective. The activity concludes with a "Grand Handover Ceremony," where the chairs are donated to a partner NGO or specific beneficiaries.
