About Samarpan Band
Samarpan as the name suggests is a musical offering by a group of young artists showing solidarity to the deeply rooted rich Indian culture through classical music. They consider it as a form of surrendering to the greatness of music and the culture that surrounds Indian classical music in particular. The band comprises Ojas Adhiya (Tabla), Vishal Dhumal (Keyboards), Ninad Mulaokar (Flute), Manas Kumar (Violin), I.D. Rao (Saxophone) & Gautam Sharma (Percussions).
Samarpan as the name suggests is a musical offering by a group of young artists showing solidarity to the deeply rooted rich Indian culture through classical music. They consider it as a form of surrendering to the greatness of music and the culture that surrounds Indian classical music in particular. The band comprises Ojas Adhiya (Tabla), Vishal Dhumal (Keyboards), Ninad Mulaokar (Flute), Manas Kumar (Violin), I.D. Rao (Saxophone) & Gautam Sharma (Percussions).
Achievements
Ojas, as a child, was a performing artist in Kalyanji Anandji’s “Little Wonders” and has performed almost 500 stage shows globally. Ojas started learning Tabla from age 5 from Shri Mridangraj ji. He is a Limca Book of Records holder as the youngest Tabla player of India
Manas Kumar has performed with Pankaj Udhas, Bhupinder-Mitali Singh, Talat Aziz and many others.
Gautam is a disciple of a legendary percussion maestro Taufiq Qureshi. He has been assisting him and playing with his band Mumbai Stamp at various festivals and events across India
