Nahid Afrin brings playback brilliance and youthful energy to every live celebration
Nahid Afrin is an Indian playback singer whose journey from television singing competitions to professional playback and live performance has made her a compelling choice for contemporary events. A first runner-up on Indian Idol Junior Season 2, she made her Bollywood playback debut with Akira and has since built a repertoire across Hindi, Assamese, Bengali and other languages. Her voice combines youthful brightness, emotional phrasing and strong stage confidence, allowing her to move comfortably between Bollywood favourites, regional music and celebratory live sets.
Her recorded work includes songs such as Rajj Rajj Ke from Akira, while her Assamese career has earned major recognition, including the Pride East Award, Assam State Film Award and Prag Cine Awards for playback singing. Beyond music, Nahid has also developed a meaningful public profile as UNICEF India's Youth Advocate, bringing youth engagement and social impact into her professional journey. For event organisers, this combination of recognised playback credentials, multilingual versatility and an approachable performance style can add both musical quality and personality to a programme.
