About King
King is an Indian rapper, singer and songwriter who has become one of the country's most recognisable crossover voices by combining hip-hop with melodic pop and emotionally direct songwriting. Born Arpan Kumar Chandel, he first gained wider attention through MTV Hustle before building a large independent audience with releases that blurred the boundary between rap and contemporary romantic music. Maan Meri Jaan became his defining global breakthrough, while Tu Aake Dekhle, Oops, Pablo and other tracks strengthened his reputation for memorable hooks and a polished live sound.
King's career has expanded through international collaborations and large-scale touring, including the Nick Jonas version of Maan Meri Jaan titled Afterlife. His catalogue continues to evolve beyond the breakthrough era, with recent projects extending his blend of melody, rap and modern pop production. Public search results for 2026 were inconsistent across artist catalogues and similarly named performers, so this profile avoids attaching an unverified latest-release claim. It instead uses confirmed career milestones and his established contemporary event relevance. engage4more brings experience from 5000+ events covered.
For organisers, King offers strong appeal for college festivals, youth-focused corporate events, brand activations, concerts and premium celebrations. His catalogue can move from emotionally resonant sing-alongs into beat-driven rap and high-energy crowd moments, giving planners a broader performance arc than a purely hard-rap act. The combination of mainstream streaming recognition, romantic anthems and hip-hop credibility makes him particularly effective for audiences that consume both Indian pop and contemporary rap.
