Vidit Aatrey is the Co-Founder and CEO of Meesho, one of India’s most transformative consumer internet companies, built with a singular mission, democratise entrepreneurship and make e-commerce accessible to Bharat. An IIT Delhi graduate, Vidit began his professional journey with stints at ITC and InMobi, but his entrepreneurial instinct pushed him to build something of his own, something rooted in real problems and real people.

In 2015, Vidit co-founded Meesho with his college friend Sanjeev Barnwal from a small apartment in Bengaluru. What started as a simple idea to help small sellers go online quickly evolved into India’s largest social commerce platform. Under his leadership, Meesho has empowered over 15 million entrepreneurs, a majority of whom are women and first-time business owners from Tier-2, Tier-3, and rural India. Meesho’s zero-commission, low-barrier model has enabled countless individuals to start businesses using just a smartphone and social networks.

Meesho made strong strides in optimising logistics, deepening penetration in non-metro markets, and building India-first technology that prioritises affordability and trust. Vidit has also been vocal about building resilient startups, emphasising frugality, long-term thinking, and founder integrity in a volatile global tech environment.
