Jonty Rhodes is a South African professional cricket commentator and former Test and One Day International cricketer. He played for the South African cricket team between 1992 and 2003.He is regarded as one of the greatest fielders of all time and was the first South African cricketer to take 100 ODI catches.
Achievements
Jonty is considered one of the best fielders of all time. He set a world record of taking five catches to achieve most dismissals by a fielder against the West Indies on 14 November 1993 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Also represented his country in hockey and was selected to go to Barcelona as a part of the squad for the 1992 Olympic Games. However, the team did not qualify to go to the tournament.
