What
Block Printing Activity is engage4more’s most purposefully eco-conscious creative workshop — a hands-on fabric printing experience where employees use intricately carved wooden blocks and vibrant fabric paints to personalise their own canvas tote bags. The activity achieves a trifecta that few corporate workshops can: it builds creative confidence, delivers a practical eco-friendly takeaway, and sends a clear organisational message about sustainability values. Every employee who carries their hand-printed tote bag to the market or the office is making a visible, personal statement about the shift from plastic to cloth — a statement they designed themselves.
Our delivery is grounded in engage4more’s MORE² Framework, which diagnoses the precise engagement gaps your team needs to address. Where strategic alignment is the objective, we layer in our SPARK Framework to connect the activity to your organisational priorities. To maximise the day’s impact, we recommend anchoring the session with one of our expert Motivational Speakers whose keynote primes the team for the experience ahead.
Block printing is one of India’s oldest and most celebrated textile arts — a tradition with roots in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Bengal that your employees have likely seen in fabric and fashion but never experienced from the creator’s side. That shift from observer to maker is one of the most powerful experiences in creative facilitation. When a participant dips a carved block in paint, presses it to fabric, and lifts it to reveal a perfect geometric impression, the response is consistently one of surprise and delight — the same response every time, regardless of whether the participant is a design director or a finance analyst.

How
Our experienced craft facilitators set up a block printing station with professional-grade fabric paints, a curated collection of carved wooden printing blocks in geometric and nature-inspired patterns, and premium canvas tote bags for each participant. After a short technique demonstration showing ink loading, block alignment, and pressure application, each employee creates their personalised tote bag design — combining blocks in any sequence, layering colours, and adding freehand detailing with fabric paint pens. Our facilitators circulate throughout to offer technique guidance and creative encouragement. The session concludes with a display of all completed bags before participants take them home.
